Finding your way around Documents
There are several ways to search for a document in Flow:
- The search engine – free form search for a phrase, in document data & its contents
- The folder tree – locate the document in the folder tree
- Most Recent Viewed – locate a recently viewed document
- Starred Items – locate a document that you’ve added to the quick access list
1. The search engine
Flow search engine provides powerful indexing and search features for the document repository.
You can search for any phrase in the document metadata: name, number, etc and in document contents.
The search will locate the document even if typed with spelling errors.
In addition, it will also consider the number of occurrences that the phrase appears in the document versus the number of occurrences of the same phrase in other documents, and also if the phrase contains several words – it will also locate documents that the words in the phrase appear at some distance from each other.
** You can also create a database of synonyms / terms used by the organization, to use them in system search.
** The search will only display approved / published revisions

Filtering the search results
When managing a lot of material, you often come across documents with similar titles that may contain different contents (for example: process, treated in different departments) or a document in a different format (for example: procedure versus form). In this case, the information can be easily filtered.
Mark V in the desired departments, document type or change the publication date and quickly get the desired results. The filters are dynamicaly generated according to content.
