Creating a New Revision
In the life cycle of a document in the system, the publication phase is the last step, after which the document becomes ‘public’.
A distinction must be made between documents in which an approval workflow is required (for example: procedures), which will reach the ‘publication’ stage at the end of the process and wait for the administrator to process, and documents in which an approval workflow is not required and can be published directly from draft status.
If this is an new revision – clicking on Publish will replace the previous revision with the current one, while the previous revision will be archived.
